Safe Money Radio helps listeners better understand retirement income, annuities, and the questions many people face as they move from saving for retirement to using those savings for income.
Host Brett Blake is the CEO of Annuity.com. Before joining the retirement industry, Brett spent his career building and improving distribution systems, including helping scale a business from approximately fifty million dollars to nearly one billion dollars in annual sales volume. He came to the retirement industry because he saw an opportunity to help more Americans access plain-language education about retirement income products and the role annuities may play for some consumers.
The show is built around a simple observation: many Americans spend decades learning how to save for retirement, but fewer receive clear education about how to turn savings into income. For many retirees, accounts such as 401(k)s and IRAs are important parts of a retirement strategy, but they may not answer every question about income, longevity risk, market risk, taxes, beneficiary planning, or changing personal circumstances.
Each week, Brett sits down with carrier executives, experienced agents, and guests with retirement-related expertise to discuss annuities, retirement income strategies, Social Security considerations, sequence-of-returns risk, beneficiary design, and how to review retirement income options as needs and interest rates change.
